Prerequisites

You will need some general insurance knowledge to benefit from this course. 
Before registering, we recommend that you complete one of the following:
•  two years of experience working as an insurance industry professional (broker, agent, underwriter, analyst), or
•  GIE courses C81 and C82, or
•  CIP course C11.


This course provides the foundation for further studies in the Commercial Insurance Certificate program and the Canadian Managing General Agent (CMGA) program.

C70 course equivalency

CIP course C70: Gateway to Commercial Insurance covers the same content as B210. If you have already completed C70, you do not need to take this course.
