Learn how insurance ties into the complexity of daily strata operations including requirements set out by the Strata Property Act. Harnessing the fundamentals for navigating the client relationship involving Strata Corporations and their property manager, strata council, and ownership can often feel like working as a ringmaster at a circus! WEBINAR OBJECTIVES • Examine how Strata Corporations are a growing form of home ownership. • Identify the obligations of a Strata Corporation as set out by the Strata Property Act and other legislation creating community guidelines. • Review the general responsibilities of strata licensees and how this can impact your relationship with them. • Review common challenges in Strata Corporations: "Your home is not your castle," including how various insurance policies intersect. • Discuss emerging areas of concern for insurance professionals and best practices to strengthen the client relationship.
